Hollywood & Mind has revealed its first wave of speakers for its second annual summit on May 9.
The event, founded by Cathy Applefeld Olson, focuses on the intersection of mental health and the entertainment industry by sparking conversation, sharing insight and igniting action. The gathering will bring together leaders, artists, creatives, executives and advocates for conversations at UTA‘s Beverly Hills campus.
“Mental health remains a critical priority, and Hollywood & Mind serves as a vital platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action within the entertainment industry,” Olson said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to offer an expansive program that addresses diverse perspectives and empowers communities of influence to prioritize mental wellness.”
Those set to speak at the Hollywood & Mind event include Mike Posner, Chyler Leigh, Soleil Moon Frye, Kalen Jackson, Emma Brooks, Bobby Lee, Kyle Bowser, Aaron Pearce, Laverne McKinnon, Joel Goldman, Angel Carter Conrad, Corey O’Brien, Courtney Parchman, Kevin Hines, Craig Dubitsky, Dayna North, Kevin Quinn, Elliott Connie, Sarah Shaker and more.
Sessions at this year’s summit will spotlight mental health on screen, comedy/comedians, on-set mental wellness, Black representation in Hollywood, sports/athletes, brand storytelling, influencer/impact culture and more. Carter Conrad, Pearce, Moon Frye and Goldman will also partake in a conversation about bringing the new album Recovery to fruition following Aaron Carter’s death in 2022.
Hollywood & Mind’s 2024 Summit partners include UTA Foundation, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, Maybelline New York, Hallmark Media, Milk & Honey Music + Sports + Ventures, Lightfully Behavioral Health, Mental Wealth Alliance and La La Land Kind Cafe.
